Welcome to Royal Oak Intermediate New Website!
Principal's Welcome
Kia ora, kia orana, talofa lava, mālō e lelei, kumusta, namaste, nǐ hǎo, and welcome to Royal Oak Intermediate.
The intermediate years are a special time of growth — physically, socially, and intellectually. At Royal Oak Intermediate, we are committed to nurturing our ākonga through this transformative stage with care, high expectations, and support.
Our vision — Whakataha whakamana māia, ākonga hihiri ki te whakatutuki angitu i roto i hīkoi katoa o te ora — reflects our belief in working together to empower confident, motivated learners to succeed in all areas of life. We provide a broad and engaging curriculum, specialist teaching, leadership opportunities, and a wide range of cultural, sporting, and co-curricular experiences to help students discover their strengths and passions.
Our school values — Respect, Excellence, Resilience, and Empathy (RERE) — guide everything we do. These values shape our culture, strengthen relationships, and help our students grow into capable, compassionate young people ready to embrace challenges and opportunities.
We value strong partnerships with whānau and the wider community. By working together, we ensure every child feels supported, challenged, and inspired to thrive.
I warmly invite you to explore our school, and to join our Royal Oak Intermediate community as we empower our young learners to flourish in all walks of life.
Ngā mihi nui,
Caroline Shum
